They replaced the original contouring of the greens and added many updated features. The greens, with new putting surfaces, are large and vary in undulation. This is a fair course because there are no hidden hazards. The finishing hole, a 543-yard, par 5, has water guarding both sides of the fairway and another water hazard sitting to the right of the well-bunkered green. The facility hosted the 1972 NCAA Championships and the 1996 Southwest Florida PGA Championship.
