This course had restoration work done in 1995 that was overseen by Gary Grandstaff, a member of Pete Dye's staff. They replaced the original contouring of the greens and added many updated features. The greens, with new putting surfaces, are large and vary in undulation. This is a fair course because there are no hidden hazards. The finishing hole, a 543-yard, par 5, has water guarding both sides of the fairway and another water hazard sitting to the right of the well-bunkered green. The facility hosted the 1972 NCAA Championships and the 1996 Southwest Florida PGA Championship. Lessons and clinics are offered by certified PGA professionals; contact the pro shop for more information.

The Queen Course is a target course and requires shot accuracy. All three courses were built on rolling terrain, and palm trees and sand bunkers come into play on just about every hole. Lakes come into play on all three courses. The housing development around the course is separate from the golf course. However, you may join the club.
